As triathletes we spend a lot of time working many, many reps in one direction;meaning we move straight in the same direction rather than side-to-side like many ball sport athletes. This can lead to weaker stabilizing muscles on our lateral side such as the gluteus medius that supports us in a single leg stance while running.
