MY PHILOSOPHY

My vision is to empower our community of athletes to dream big, as we participate in endurance sport to improve our lives. I want to create an inclusive space where athletes can grow, learn and reach their potential in sport and in life. Endurance sports have been integral in my mental, physical and emotional health, and I love sharing those benefits with others.

Distance running became a significant part of my life in high school when I started running marathons, to add to the myriad of team sports that I played throughout my upbringing. I went on to play soccer at UTSA while continuing to race marathons. I was introduced to Ironman shortly after graduation and instantly fell in love with the sport of triathlon and specifically iron distance. I raced my first triathlon in 2014, just 9 months before my first Ironman. Since then, I’ve committed my free time to training for Ironman events and growing my knowledge about the sport. I’ve currently completed 12 Ironmans, in addition to many shorter distance triathlon events. I love the way that triathlon pushes our limits, and grows us as athletes and as humans.
